Can anyone point me towards good software with US maps that stores the maps on the sd card? I only have 1x data from my carrier where I live, so I would rather not have to be constantly downloading portions of maps.

how a about some screen shots?

A blue dot on a top view map kinda sucks, a road view would be nice. I've never used a standalone GPS so a few pics would be nice

I've got a great SERO plan for data, but it doesn't include the ridiculous $10/month for navigation. I've also got very good built-in nav systems in my cars (which also use inertial navigation, wheel sensors, and other goodies for keeping track even with no satellite lock) so I really don't want to spend ANY extra. The only thing I'm ever likely to use GPS on my Mogul for is for Windows Live searches, tagging photos with coordinates, and wandering on foot in unfamiliar cities. Maybe on the motorcycle if I can get voice guidance over Bluetooth and some sort of helmet bluetooth solution, but

I think that means that, for my purposes, Google Maps is it for the moment based simply on cost.

Anyone working on a reg change for the TeleNav v5.2 to work with our new intnernal GPS/

Currently, it's set to scan for a Bluetooth gps automatically.

I already have a TeleNav account that I'd like to use instead of paying Sprint for their Navigation software (same product really).

Thanks,

ehanhan,

Got it...made the setting...I'm missing something...I'm just not seeing any change....and the pictures I am taking are not capturing the GPS in EXIF. I've looked at the camera settings inside the app and can't see anything related to GPS. I've looked at the registry for the HTC camera app and the STAMP key is enabled....

I'm stumped.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
