Going 3.16 to 2.17

I smoothly upgraded yesterday to 3.16 with no hitches, but the phone seems 'hang' frequently requiring a soft-reset

i would like to go back to 2.17 from 3.16, but when i run the official RUU downloaded from HTC's site, it bounces me out at 1%

any tips/suggestions/advice?

Did you unlock your phone again after going back to 3.16?

never had it unlocked...is that the SPL the issue i have going that direction?

Had the same problem.

You have to "relock" it:

Then you can flash back to 2.17 stock.

Try this, it may be an incompatibility between 2.17 and the new SPL that was installed by 3.16. This thread gives info on re-installing the old stock SPL.

edit: looks like RootWind and I were doing the same thing at the same time, and somehow came up with two different thread numbers for the same thread, so take your choice
