Back-light ON/OFF problem

Hi, lately I have problem with my Titan's back-light
Listening to MP3 screen is OFF then I press the power button
to turn it back ON but it only blinks and goes back off again.
On 2nd or 3rd time it will stay usually ON.

Any ideas ?
The unit is only 2 months old.

Sounds like screen wasn't really off but in power save mode (very dim and hard to see in daylight), the first press you do to turn it on, actually turns it off, the second brings it on.

I don't think that that's it since sometimes I have to push the power button several times. Any idea if the screen lock could somehow do this ?
