there is an ongoing thread about the upgradability of the ram/rom on the 6800 over on xda in the upgrade section, haven't checked it yet today, but it does sound like there may be a chance that the chip thats in the touch may be close enough of a fit to swap out (the chip itself can be bought from the manufacturer). a big chance though that whatever process you'd have to go through to do it would completely trash the phone

LOL, thats pretty funny that you had to point that out to lysolflow, reminds me of one of those "need a moment.....grab a snikers" commercials. Anyway whats the point, even if someone figures out a way to increase usable ram, is it going to be worth the headache and the possibility of bricking the phone just to get it to be marginally faster? Honeslty though, it does suck that we have to manage the memory as much as we do but the mogul gets the job done, if it didn't we wouldn't be using moguls at all. So relax and wait for the next big thing to come out.

MobileHackerC,
To date the Voyager is available with Verizon contract only. Review the Voyager here... http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/...-32640927.html I have owned LG devices and while LG makes some of the BEST multimedia phones currently, they have yet to venture the Pocket PC devices genre. After owning PPC's for the last 4 years, I could never go back to a non-smart device... |
