People would wet their pants if Sprint released a quad band GSM/CMDA phone. I think if it ever did happen it would be Verizon first, since they are going to allow the use of all CMDA phones soon.

So here I am, doing what a noob does best... As of right now the Mogul or the 6800 cannot be used internationally, right? So it doesn't matter if you have it unlocked or not. Or did I get it all wrong???

the only newer phones you can use worldwide with sprint are

the blackberry 8830 world edition,
the samsung ip830w (ip meaning international phone),
or the samsung ip8790 (non pda).

they have slots for sim cards. none of the others do.

For the most part that is correct. The Mogul will work in North America, some Caribbean locations (I used mine in Jamaica), Venezuela (and maybe others in Central/So. America?), Japan, Korea, and I think China and perhaps a few other Asian nations also employ CDMA. Australia used to have it, but I think I read something about the last CDMA provider there perparing to shut down/switch to GSM. I can't confirm that though.

The Mogul is no more than a PDA in Europe and Africa, though with the WiFi you can at least get on the internet.
