text/email issue

Whenever I open a text message or email someone has sent me, it automatically scrolls down from the beginning of the message. On text messages it's scrolled all the way to the bottom so the message appears blank when I open it until I scroll up. On emails it's scrolled partway down the message but not all the way to the bottom.
