Wake up on today screen?

Is there a setting or hack that will force the phone to always go to the today screen when it wakes up?

I know some people had a bug when the phone came out where it would do this, but why not just hit the windows key, and click the today menu from the list?

I'm currently using SPB Mobile Shell and really like that it loads the Now screen everytime you press the power button.

This allows you to just press the power button to turn the phone off and not worry about accidentally hitting buttons while in the holster. This is most useful if the phone app is open.
