Switching from Sprint to Alltel

I bought a ppc-6800 on ebay that appears to be from sprint, except for the fact that it's loaded with the Alltel ROM. How exactly can I set it up on my Alltel service with my own Alltel phone number programmed in? I called in and Alltel refused to activate it.

I know I need the MSL from sprint, and I need to put it in using ##778# but what do I do after that to make sure that I can use the phone on my Alltel phone number? Can anyone give me a step-by-step?

Any help is appreciated

You can get a little program in this web site ftp://ppcgeeks:ezupload@up.ppcgeeks....ols/GetSPC.zip to get your MSL just unzipped the files copy them to your phone or sd card run start\setting\system\device information copy down the ESN: above current user name exactly as appear either upper or lower case write on input box click go and voila that is your MSL

I bought the same phone, possibly from the same guy.

It shows and records as always roaming. I understand it is initially hunting the Sprint frequency. Is there any way to make it initially hunt the Alltel frequency so it will know when it is home?

This doesn't seem to be a problem, the phone works fine, it is just an annoyance. The vendor promised a software fix, but has since gone mute.
