thats the thing.... im at home for xmas break from college.. and all my contacts and stuff are in my room up there. so if i hard reset ill be screwed!!

you're screwed either way...once they are deleted from the device the only way to get em back is via active sync or thru third party back up software...very sorry man wish i could be more help. for future reference look around for htc backup...

damn!!! well how do u hard reset this phone? and i dont understand how they got erased.. Damn i might as well write down the 8 numbers that my phone has in its inbox. lol

I know it doesn't help now, but this is exactly the reason I paid for a premium membership with Plaxo.com. Now that they have a program for ppc to sync contacts over-the-air, it's the best tool to have when crashes (or mistakes) happen.

Mail2Web is great for situations just like this. Set up a free account and you'll be able to hard reset at will without worrying about losing any important info.

I just started using the windows mobile device center for vista, and it deleted my contacts.
I have Active Sync installed on my old computer (XP)...When I finally get back and plug this into my old computer to get those contacts back, do I have to change some settings. Since my phone is blank, i dont what active Sync to think my phone is correct, and go into outlook and delete them out. Obviously I want it to think the exact opposite. What settings should I have a look at? Thanks!! |
