Fixed my BT issue with 2.17

I thought I might post up to let people know a possible solution. I had BT issues, went through a whole trouble shooting process, and in the end swapped phones with Sprint. What I found in my process is that it seems newer built Moguls with a more recent manufacturing date are fixed with the 2.17 ROM. I orginally had a week 34 phone (for the date I found it by looking at your serial: first digit is year of make, next two is week, i.e. 734 = 2007, week 34). My friend who has the same mogul, we live in the same area, and have the same headsets with same software etc. had no issues once going to 2.17 while mine remained. The only difference was his was a week 35 phone. I worked with a sprint tech locally here and interesting enough one of the employees also had a mogul that got fixed by 2.17. In the end we swapped my phone for a week 38, and now I have no more issues. Everything works like it should BT wise. The other issues like the mem leak are there, but only slight. Mainly I needed BT to work and it does now. It's a possible solution for you guys if getting working BT is a concern.

exactly what were your BT issue? I know a lot of people complaint about the quality of the voice, but my main issue is that it's not connecting to my car's headunit. I might have to take it in a local sprint store to see what they can do.

My main issue was random drop outs, but interestingly with my week 38 phone BT volume is much better as well. I used to lose connection a lot pre 2.17, post 2.17 I still dropped out about once every 8 hours (work day).

Hmm, if your other week 34 has no issues then is there really randomness to the bugs between models then? That really sucks then. It would boil down to getting lucky if you can have sprint swap your model...
