never had that problem. What programs do you have installed it might be one of those. Did you try doing a soft reset?

If you have e-mail set to sync periodically, it may be turning on every time it checks for e-mail on the server.

This is a known issue. For me, i just installed s2u2 and set it to automatic cut off after 5 seconds, its also set to cut on when the device wake up..... sooo

*device randomly wakes up*

*slide to unlock takes over*

*five seconds pass*

*phone goes back to sleep*

*battery life is extended, and no mistaken calls are placed*

You could put a piece of tape of the power button to keep it off.

Just kidding.

Sometimes my device powers on when I recieve a "ghost" email or text. But it does not power on at all besides that. And what I mean by ghost:

I have confirmed when a friend tried to call or send a text, email and for whatever rare reason it did not go fully through. It's a fluke occurance but my display will come on and nothing will hapen and I will look at it like "Ok...any time now..."

more specifically, how often it checks email, weather, or basically anytime that it has to send/receive data. that'll turn the screen on.

I HATE that. it wouldn't be such a big deal if the text would eventually make it through, but it doesn't.
