Disabling Voice Speed Dial

I use MS VC 1.6 - is there any way (short of hard reset and stopping carrier customization) of ripping Voice Speed Dial out? It usually doesn't get in the way of Voice Command, but every so often the two wig out.

Plus - I don't *need* it taking up resources.

Stock 2.09 sprint firmware

Go to Start->Settings->Personal->Voice Speed Dial, Then click on the Settings Tab, and check Disable Voice Speed Dial

Thanks for that tip - any way to remove it entirely from the device and reclaim some storage space?

You can stop it from running at start up by deleting /windows/startup/sdaemon.lnk
