Mac OS X and ROM update

This is probably a really stupid question, and after searching on here and Google, I found no definitive answer so I thought I would give it a try.

Is there any way, short of using Boot Camp and installing Windows or using a Windows machine, for me to install a ROM update using my Mac? I have a G5 desktop and an Intel Macbook, so I mean I could install Windows on the Macbook if I really needed tom but I thought I would ask first. Thanks!

As long as it's under Windows. That's how I did mine 2.17 update on my MBP via Bootcamp.

No virtualization though, it has to be under a real environment.

alright cool. Yeah I figured that was my only option, as I have tried the virtualization. Didn't work at all.

Thanks for the help!
