Wifi text messages

Is it possible to use a text messaging program with the mogul in wifi mode or when it is being fed, tethered to from another subject? in other words phone is only used as a pda to access the web ?

You could Use an IM Program, but for Text messages, you are tied to the phone number.

You can email someone's phone number via wifi. I forget the address exactly but it's something like phonenumber@messaging.sprintpcs.com and it shows up on the recipients phone. Do a search, it's mentioned here in a bunch of places.
