Can't wait for Rev.A with tethering on my laptop!!! But until than this was worth the update
BTW i heard tcpmp with some sort of patch(i don't know because i don't use it) works good on the mogul esp w streaming audio(just what i heard not from my experience)

No issues yet to report from me with .17.
Can I transfer some of the Storage Memory to be Program Memory?
I show total of 47.23mb for Program memory with 17.60mb free.
I show 98.98 Free on the storage size (not the Card - op board)

well... i'm seeing a common thread here. "those having memory problems" all are having them while trying to use opera.

Opera is installed as a jad/jar, and well that makes it JAVA. The Java that comes on the Mogul {sprint} is a special version for the mogul. I'm thinking what you need/want is to get a better/differen java virtual machine.....

I recently (3 days ago) downloaded 2.17 in my Mogul. Bluetooth works like a charm, but now my email doesn't sync. Tried 2 hard resets and tried downloading the 2.17 upgrade twice. Does anyone have the same issue? Its like they solve one issue only to create them.

i've flashed a hundred times, my email always syncs.. if yer using yer pc to sync, you might try resetting/reinstalling the activesync sware. it often has issues and problems.

I never use activesync though, i always jsut use exchange servers.

I've used IE, Opera 8.65 and Opera Mini and had memory issues in the past regardless. With Opera Mini I use Esmertec Jbed which is superior to the included manager and seems to be the current Java machine of choice. I've never been able to use Opera Mini as the system default browser (is it possible?) so I use Opera 8.65 instead of IE for that and when I need to d/l. My main 2.17 problem seems to have been solved by a hard reset and careful re install of my apps. I found that SPB Mobile Shell was the biggest mem pig of them all. It initially grabs a small amount of mem and everything seems fine. I'm assuming that once the menu system is used, WM6 caches some or all of Mobile Shells icons, 5-6mb worth on my system. You can watch the memory drain away. My biggest 2.17 problem was probably due to the use of a "safe" Sprite b/u file from my old 2.09 install, my bad. Anyway, after ~2hrs of install>reset>test, I'm now able to play a podcast and surf at the same time. My BT performance seems better but it will take a few days to know for sure. I hope this means that I've moved past WM5... now bring on 6.1

TCPMP (The Core Player Media Player) is a sort of beta for the CorePlayer which I use. I don't do streaming audio, but with the flash video bundle TCPMP can do Youtube video. Curiously, the CorePlayer cannot do this yet. I prefer using vtap for youtube type content anyway. FWIW, I get my podcasts on my home pc and sync them over nightly using Mobsync.
