Battery Status on Verizon XV6800

Question, is there a way to make the existing battery icon show status or open the battery status program when tapped on the Verizon XV6800? On the 6700 there is a battery icon in the bottom of the today screen (HTCPlugin I think) that does that exact function. Any help would be appreciated.

No. It will be a few steps...just click on the backlight/menu/power.

I agree! on the 6700 tou could click the title bar battery icon which would open the battery meter. the 6800 simply does nothing. IT SHOULD! anyone have a fix for this?
