Sprint Mogul & Windows 7 PAM

I've checked and tried the following -
remove advance network features
tried a list of drivers posted by another user and W7
Establish ActiveSync connection/profile

I'm still unable to maintain a PAM tether connection. I can connect my phone to a 32bit XP OS and surf the Internet without a problem.

I realize no drivers have been available officially for Windows 7 - anyone else successful as teethering with their HTC Mogul (from Sprint)?

All/any suggestions greatly appreciated. I have a trip where I may need to surf via my phone as building has limited guest access network.

Re: Sprint Mogul & Windows 7 PAM

do you require the modem or will internet sharing suffice? there are only a couple of reasons I can think of to use as modem, otherwise the built in internet sharing works on w7

Re: Sprint Mogul & Windows 7 PAM

Just need the Internet Sharing.

The computer just won't maintain a connection to the phone in Internet Sharing mode for more than 2 minutes.

Connection status in Internet Sharing on phone goes from Connectino to Disconnection in less than 2 minutes and computer drop the USB.

Re: Sprint Mogul & Windows 7 PAM

Maybe I gave up too easy. I gave up on PAM after WM 6. I use mobile device center and PDA Net on my Windows 7 laptop.

Re: Sprint Mogul & Windows 7 PAM

Off topic question here but kinda related...

Is the sync cable for the mogul a special cable or will any old usb cable work?
