I don't personally see how anyone can be shocked or appalled by this. Maybe it's just me, and the fact that i've worked in Customer service for the better part of the last decade, but if somebody walks into my store ready to start a fight about something, they're going to get one, and not get what they're looking for more often than not. On the other hand, someone walks in, is polite, stays calm, makes logical even if firm points, i'll happily go out of my way to help them as much as I can. It has nothing to do with them being con artists, it has to do with what's productive and trying to find mutually beneficial solutions. When i have a problem with something i'm polite but firm, and always treat the person on the other end of the phone or the other side of the counter like a human being. Is that being a con-artist?

This thread is getting way off topic now. I apologize for my contribution to this.
No need for anymore PR stuff. I think we all know and understand these things, and how it takes too long to write out a novel on all the specifics of opinions with no worthwhile end goal. I just hope (but not expecting) that today when I go in for another repair that this time they either fix it or upgrade me to the Mogul. Two days ago they had swapped it out for another 6700 and told me it was working when in fact it wasn't. The radio does not work, it goes out randomly...except sometimes comes back after battery disconnect/reconnect... and the Camera light doesn't work either. I was exceeding polite when inquiring on an upgrade, and was told I could potentially do this through calling *2 etc...but as she was telling me this she found a 6700 (which took her a long long time to find) and she just completely ignored me about the many bad experiences with the refurbished phones I've been given in the past. Instead, I was given another phone with yet another problem. One of the people at that store said that Rev A was fully functional on the Mogul at that time, but then again, some people will tell you whatever makes them look good/smart/helpful/etc without regard to truth or reason. ROM Question
I have the mogul and was using the 2.9 Rom version, after reading all the complaints on this website about the ROM,i did some research and found a update. The 2.17 is the update is what i'm using now.
I was wondering if anyone else is using this update. I use very little of the advanced features on any of my pda's that i have owned. the only reason i have the mogul is that I can get for 100.00 or the Touch for the same price. I attached a link, maybe this will help or maybe not, please let me know if this helps or not. I also am using a program from www.Oxios.com to help out on freeing up memory. http://www.america.htc.com/support/m...downloads.html |
