Not sure if anyone's seen this, but it was on Engadget Mobile...
http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/1...ev-a-for-mogu/ Apparently Sprint's last Mogul software update -- version 2.16.651.0 -- ruffled a few feathers by unintentionally introducing new Bluetooth problems as part of the release. Sprint and HTC's advice? slip on back to version 2.09.651.3 (hit the read link to grab it) until another update is released at the end of November. The unexpected treat in all this is the announcement of HTC's efforts at developing a separate update that will include both GPS and EV-DO Rev. A, awesome! Keep an eye on these pages for more info soon. |

That is good information. However, if you would have read the 987696968 posts prior to this one, you would see that it has been covered. The folks here are on point. Much Luv, iZm |

"As a short-term solution, customers who downloaded the ROM version 2.16 should download the previous ROM version 2.09.651.3 posted as the Download below. This will restore previous functionality to the device until a new version is complete. " Blah Blah Blah
"Additionally, HTC is currently developing a separate ROM update which enables the EV-DO Rev. A and GPS capabilities that are already built into the Mogul hardware." Sprint and HTC plan to make this software ROM available in early 1Q 2008. We would also like to extend our thanks to those customers that have taken the time to identify and report these issues to us. Hi everyone, Im about as noo as you can get, but I have been lurking in the shadows for a while now. Thanks to everyone for all the knowledge shared. I am sure there is still a ton of speculation about sprint/HTC and the mogul/ROMs/Hardware, etc... however I believe the above is new as of today. Welcome Dave. Feel free to read more |

wow! nice welcome! nice to meet you too!
I check the HTC site every couple of days, I just noticed the change in HTCs statement that starts with "additionally". I also read the past several months worth of debate over what hardware is in my mogul, here, on PPCGEEKS. I apologize if my desire to share what I thought was new info, has annoyed you. I did find a refrence about this info posted a few days back. I must have missed it. again, I am sorry. I am quite new to forums, however; jerks, eliteists and a** holes are nothing new to me. Whoever runs this site, please remove me from your membership. Thanks anyway, Dave |

I know I have made at least a few goofy posts and so has most everyone else, so thanks for trying to help at least. Like TC1 did say.... Welcome, and stick around, and don't let this discourage you from posting info and or questions TC1 is a good guy and so are most people here. Last edited by Primenall; 11-25-2007 at 04:42 PM. |

No one is faulting your desire to share information, in fact we welcome and admire it. If it makes you feel better to call me names, well then have at it. I'm just curious as to the elitists remark (sorry had to correct your spelling), I simply was pointing out the obvious. You stated you have been lurking, which I admire, because it's the same thing I do when I'm new to a forum. Get a feel for what's going on, the latest news, read some how-to's, etc., they're all good things to do. It would seem pretty obvious if someone was reading these forums (or any Titan forums for that matter) that the biggest news to hit in the last week is the new ROM announcements posted at both Buzzaboutwireless (Sprint) and HTC. When folks constantly post the same information, over and over without even bothering to search, or for that matter, read the main sticky title on the very first thread, well, it just makes it more difficult for everyone to wade through all the posts. It also creates additional work for the excellent moderators here who are constantly trying to merge threads in order to minimize the noise. Don't get me wrong... I've made my fair share of mistakes. I once embarrassingly posted some wrong info on this forum a few months ago about some bad info on a new ROM. That incident taught me to not try to be "first" but to instead double check my facts before sharing my info with everyone. Live and learn. As others have said, everybody is welcomed here, but just like in real life, you have to be open to suggestions and criticism if you expect to keep growing and learning. |
