US Cellular PPC 6800

hi all:

my first post here but i have been reading but i am more confused then if i never would have started reading i think.

i just bought 2 (uncloced) US Cellular PPC 6800`s off ebay.

they appear to be working great...did a hard reset on both and adjusted the screen and connected both to my wireless wrt54gl v1.1 linksys router running dd-wrt.

I do not have any wireless cell phone company.

basically i bought both phones to use on my wifi and was watning to know how to update the phones so they are current

both phones have this on them

so im not sure if i need to do the verizon or sprint update.

i think this is a cdma phone as it dont have a sim card i dont think (just like verizon phones arent they)?
i thought sprint phones were GSM and required the SIM chips.

anyhow i dont want to make a mistake so i come here for your advice.
