Link to your phone through Activesync and browse to the windows folder. Copy the files over to your pc's desktop after enabling the "see hidden files" option as Poolyduck said in the first post. Right click on each and select open with notepad. You will then be able to edit the shortcut locations. I hope this helps newbies looking to do this.

BTW. Does anyone have a good TomTom and Picsel browser icons I can use with this? Thanks.
thank you for the support, I added some info in the 1st post with 2 xml codes, hopefully it will be easy for you guys to customize the quicklauncher.

does anyone know where i can get just the task manager on the top right corner of the today screen?i have all these apps on my mogul and if i install this quicklauncher is it gona go right over everything ive installed?

anyone know how to create these kind of icons with the alpha channel , etc.. on photoshop or have any links to any tutorials? thanks

You can do it in paint.net pretty easily. I just inverted the colors and played with the levels to make the image wash out, then i saved as a new file named mask. I'll put something together and post it here. Photoshop as i recall has a 'create layer mask' function. You could save that layer as a new image and use it as a mask.

I'm not any good with Photoshop, but I would love to customize this. If someone has some time, these are the icons I would like:

- Internet Explorer
- Instant Messenger
- iGuidance (or some GPS/Navigation type icon)

could someone post a tutorial on how to make these icons? I tried the one over at XDA but I keep getting a white background on my icons. I don't know what I'm missing or doing wrong, but if some here has a better and easier tutorial it would be greatly appreciated.

hey i remember a while back i added this to my treo 700wx screen and got it working by editing the html codes , and now looking to port this to my treo 800w , and i just forgot where to start off in finding the files to edit, once im there i shuld be alright its just been a while,
