Alright thats it... Im finally pissed.

Yeah so I wasn't really too annoyed with my Mogul until last night.

Its now freezing and having graphical glitches like crazy (for example, in Opera, I will be typing a post and as it scrolls down, the page starts tearing, making it completely unusable and forcing a soft reset), the memory leak has gotten absolutely atrocious... I used to get back 20 of the 28 MB I started with of a soft reset just by closing programs. Now I only get back SEVEN until I soft reset!

Lastly, this color changing screen hurts my eyes.

Sprint is going to get one really pissed off customer calling tonight because this is bull.

And before anyone jumps about 3rd party apps, etc, all Im running is HTC Home and Opera. That's it!

Sounds like a phone problem then.

Get them to exchange it.

The same thing started happening to my phone in the old rom 2.09. My phone was fine for 4 months always staying between 19 and 22 mb free with no programs opened. Well all of a sudden one day I have got 7 to 10 mb free without anything running. This went on for a few days until I decided to hard reset. Thats when I knew we had been ripped off. I was so discouraged I didnt load any 3rd party apps on the phone. I played with a Touch at a mall kiosk today. Very beautiful device but the lack of a real keyboard is a dealbreaker. Would go to AT&T but dialup - like Edge as compared to EVDO and a bill at least twice what i currently pay are strong deterrents. I am forced to stick with my potentially fulfilling Moghul until we get a fix or until a new device with at least a 3.5 inch screen and equivalently useful keyboard comes along.

Well from looking at the reviews of the Touch, I think I might get it. The two-letters per button keyboard would work very well for me as would the regular 12 key keyboard... I'm good with either.

But I'm going to fight with Sprint tooth and nail until I get it free. Someone should start a class action lawsuit over this piece of crap.

Considering how much I text message, no hardware keyboard rules out any device for me. But to each his own.

That's the main key. Bitch, bitch and bitch some more.

If you overcomplain they will either:

1) Boot you off your contract. So then you sell the phone for almost face value and go to a network with better phone selections (Any network other than Sprint).

2) Hook you up.

Win/Win either way imo.

Getting booted off of Sprint isn't really a "win." If I wanted to pay more than 2x the price of SERO, I would have done so in the first place.

EDIT: That said, I'm pretty fed up with my Titan and am waffling between a 755p and a Vogue. Folks seem to champion the 755p's stability, and I tried one out in person -- it was quite nice. On the other hand, I love some of the WinMo programs I've developed dependencies on. It's hard to find suitable substitutes on PalmOS.

The WM-powered rumored/forthcoming Palm 800w looks like the absolute winner here. Picking between 755p and Vogue comes down to basically being an art of trudging through lame devices until the 800w drops.

If the 800w sucks, we're really hosed.
