DATA Plan is now required with the 6800!?!?
A friend just bought a 6800 on ebay. He liked mine and the idea of no data plan needed. Soooo...
He went to activate it and the verizon customer service said you MUST have a data plan. The policy has changed on 1-18-10 and ALL smart phones no matter how old or type MUST have a data plan...

I like the way they can do that without telling anyone...

I hate verizon....

wow thats some serious $h!t !!! i know verizon is money hungry but wow!!
i wouldnt dare pay $30 for a data plan if i activate my 6700!!

If you had a xv6800 phone before, the computer would allow you to activate without the need of adding a data plan. Try *228 option 3.
