New ROM From Sprint on 11/4/07? Maybe even REV A

I called sprint ceo and he said the current owner of mogul will get the touch for free.

I know it sounds like a stretch, tier 3 set a call back to me when it is ready, I don't think it will happen, but we can hope. The story I got was since the Touch and the Mogul use the same internals for the most part it will share the same problems. Trust me I'm not trying to stur nething up. Also the update would be on our phone or at utstar.com

can someone explain more about the trade in for the touch? Is it real or bs? I was told a trade for a simalier phone, such as 755, 700wx

I believe this rumor. I think a new ROM update will be out next week. It doesn't have to have REV A or GPS. Early 08 can mean anything from January to June.

When I was with T-Mo and they released the first XDA there was a week where 3 ROM updates were released the same week. It was the update to FIX PPCPE. The first update was yanked by T-MOb within 3hrs. Apparently it wasn't ready. The next one was released the next day and was also pulled within 24hrs due to massive bricking of devices literaly. And finaly a week or so later they released the 3 update. Anyone who had the XDA would remember those times.

So yeah! Do I believe Sprint will not be stupid enough to wait till next year to fix this pone or add REV A. definitely!!

In fact it wasn't until last year that HTC started putting ROM updates on their websites for US cariers. US cariers are no longer willing to foot the bill for bricked devices after ROM updates. HTC is the OEM. They bear all responsibility. MS and Sprint have limited liability.

i am getin a touch for my mogul but mine is a 30 thing and i have been told the more u complan about ur phone and tell them its not workin u might get one

The first thing a rep tells you is always the truth. If you insist on answer you'll hear what you want to hear. Reps do this to get "but why" customers off the phone.

Note: "but why" customers are those that when you tell them you don't have specific answer they say "but why". They are highly irrational and usually calm to the point of aggravating.

The best thing about owning a Windows Mobile device is the anticipation of ROM updates. Anyone who has been using PPCP for years can attest to that. So bring on the rumors. It might just be a ROM Christmas afterall

Moderators, please delete this thread and any other non factual rom release threads. If a release date or new rom is not on Sprints or HTC's website, then this bull crap needs to be deleted.
