Or how about a small aps that returns ram automatically - similar to Oxios but without having to manually initiate it and with no popups? Is that possible?

The memory slider was for an earlier version of Windows Mobile. WM 5 & 6 don't use that architecture any more. We have a total of 64mb to work with and the OS takes it cut of about 16mb which leaves us with around 47mb to work with.

that's a good idea, but kind of hard to implement. You'll be doing something in some program and all of a sudden it'll close on you. You can set it up using mortscript if you're familiar with it, or you can try alarm today (shareware) from pocketmax which allows for automated tasks
