Here's what I did...

I've ended up in the scenario you described, and here's what I did:

-Updated to 2.16 from the download off HTC's site.

-Found that it fixed things as advertised, but it made the phone lock up continually for me, as described elsewhere. From there, I downloaded the 1.40 Radio RUU and the RUU utility from the FTP link provided in step 2 of the "Titan Flashing for Dummies" sticky. The RUU utility is in /Titan/Users/ImCoKeMaN/roms/ and the 1.40 radio is in /Titan/Users/dcd/ on the FTP link.

-I wasn't sure if I'd need to run the Unlocker, but I did, and I did have it stay stuck in the bootloader. However, instead of continuing with the directions about what to do when you get stuck in the bootloader, that is when I flashed in the new radio with RUU, and then everything came back alive and was happy. Even though, to my understanding, all I pushed at the phone was the "Radio" code, it was as if I'd done a hard reset so I had to reload software and settings again, but other than that, no troubles.

My phone has been acting teriffic compared to just having the stock 2.16 on it. I don't think I've had to soft reset since I've done this. I hope this is helpful.
