ok heres one for the books... i flashed my new rom and it boots past the two splashes, after that it goes to a white screen, i think the setup screen but will not go past this screen. i know it is not froze because the sliding sound still works and after a few seconds of being white i get a ding saying im in the setup program. i am using vista to build these roms and have noticed that a lot of the files have the super super hidden flag set and i cant unset it. i say super super because i already turned on super hidden files from the reg. so im i just not garbing these important files or did i miss something along the way

your os image is too big. use imgfstools 2.1 rc2, read the included documents and use them to dump your rom and build back from your dump. bigstorage mode will fix that issue.

i have read the readme file and cannot find any place where they talk about bigstorage mode.

Edit:
i found this from xda
Quote:
Btw, the -bigstorage command line argument is gone in 2.1rc2. Bigstorage mode is now the default behaviour when no argument is given. The only command line argument now is -conservative.
Results:
I typed in the -bigstorage in the imgfstonb command and now i am not able to get past the second splash screen...

coredll is where the os gets the version from , so you probably did something wrong. as imcokeman says, you probably rewrote xip1, when xip2 is what matters.

be sure to hand extract xip2 and not use rommaster too. rommaster might be ok for boot.hv, but its too buggy for serious xip work

quick question (probably dumb)

when using nbhtool i take it the phone model is insignificant and does it matter if you don't include a spl or ipl? as of right now i just generated the rom with an os.nb. so long as the os is proper this will flash ok right?

you can use only the nb's that you want but the phone information must be correct or it wont get past 1% of the flash
