That's not totally true I owned the Sprint Moto Q .... and it had the best bluetooth ever...

Does anyone know why bt keeps disconnected when I am receiving text messages? It does this all the times when I am talking on the phone, then at the same time I am receiving text messages. Please advise.

Yes, the BT on the Q works very well. Motorola's been doing real BT for years.

I`ve been having the same problems with my Alltel version. mine will even show the headset connected icon when I make a call but disconnect when the call connects. I have to go to com manager to turn it back on. My blue light will flash the entire time until it disconnects when answering or making a call...very hit or miss. I will try the hacks tomorrow, by the way I'm using a jawbone.

My bad, I forgot about the Q. I have heard good things about the BT on the Q.

Sorry,

Bluetooth is the most important part of my PPC phone if that doesn't work correctly we have problems. This in mind the new AKU is virtually unusable from a bluetooth stand point so curious to find out what the difference was I flashed back to the old AKU this morning and recorded all the registry settings I could find. Than I flashed back to the new AKU the only setting that I could find different is the scan mode, I changed that and have had my Motorola H9 connected for over an hour now with no problems in or out of the portable charger. Here is what I changed:

HKCU/software/Microsoft/Bluetooth/Settings:
Scan Mode from 0-5

Check it out and let me know if this is working for others/devices

Edit:
Add some screen shots using MemMaid reg editor

Mine doesn't have a Dword of "Scan Mode" under that directory. But I was playing with this problem myself this morning and what I did was

HKCU/software/microsoft/bluetooth/sys:
DisableAutoSuspend:
Changed from 1 to 0.
I know theoretically this should enable Auto Suspend. What happened to me is my headset went into it's power saving mode and it disconnected from the Mogul. All I did was hit the connect button on my headset and it connected right back up with the Mogul. I'm going to see how my regedit works and if it isn't satisfactory I'm going to try yours. But I think between the two we got we're getting somewhere.
