<p>guys, the guy DID say 'should' be out by oct 22nd - if this new date is accurate can you really blame sprint for delaying 4 days? especially when they never even said oct 22 publicly... this is totally OK by me - if you're really that worried about bt install the alltel rom...</p>

well i just got off the phone with sprint, starting with tier 2 tech support and i was told in their system the have no new rom comming out that they know of, so i then went to customer retention and the first guy wally started getting flippy with me so i went to his suprivisor and i told her i was going to leave sprint, they asked what would you like us to do for you and i said let me give back my mogul for a touch,i got disconected from her and got another guy and he will call me on the 4th and order me a touch and send me a return box for my mogul, i love my mogul but i need a stable fully functioning phone, what is going to happen is they will bill me for the touch but once they recieve the mogul will credit me that money back as an adjustment.

How is the mogul so bad that you need to bug them for a Touch?
Does a Touch have rev A? Have you used a Touch enough to know would be any better or you'd be happier? As a Sprint Lead Tech in Wisconsin, I can tell you with confidence that no mass communications have gone out to tell us when the new ROM is coming. Anyone with that info got it from some other source other than standard channels. I know someone with at Sprint testing the touch for CEBU, and he has the Mogul as well, and he can't wait to get back into his Mogul. That being said, I'm running the Alltell ROM and Radio 1.40 and I don't see anything that makes me think this new ROM is going to change the world. What do you want to see in this new ROM? I want a smaller RAM footprint. But honestly, I just rather have more ram, like the Tilt and the Touch, but I can't change that right now. So, seriously, what do ppl want to see in a ROM?

No, I'm sure it does that all the time... Can you duplicate it for me? No? Its intermittent? Oh, so it doesn't do that all the time. Oh, just most of the time? But I need to duplicate the problem to find the problem... oh... Why should I be able to fix a phone I can't tell is broken? (Conversation with a Sprint customer)

Are you guys sure the one posted is not the newest rom?
I don't recall the old rom have these fixes: * Improves Bluetooth compatibility and performance. * Corrects keypad function when using On Demand. * Corrects Alarm so it will ring when device is charging. * Corrects several Sprint Music performance issues like fast-forwarding. * Enables Sprint Music store to function on early production devices * Adds new Sprint start up and sign off screens By the way, even though the image shows the old rom, the download link is http://download.america.htc.com/RUU_...PL106_Ship.exe Seems like it's rom release 2.16.651.0 radio 1.47.00 from the file version, this may indeed be the newest rom
