Flashing a HTC Snap (s511) Willow Smartphone to CricKet

Flashing a HTC Snap (s511) Willow Smartphone to CricKet
As always when flashing phones there are risks. No one is responsible for your phone but you.
This is a work in progress

Here is what you will need.

ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center
You will also need CDMA Workshop. 2.7 works fine. ( QPST does not)

The Drivers Here

Step 1
Install ActiveSync
When it's done it will prompt you to plug the device in.
Leave ActiveSync running

Step 2
Leave it plugged in
On the handset dial ##Diag# (##3424#).
That will put it in Diagnostic mode.
You will then be prompted to install the drivers provided above
Search for the drivers yourself & put that file in to the browse section.
Two sets of drivers will be installed.

Step 3
Next pull up CDMA Workshop.
You'll want to know what port your phone is set to.
Under the "SECURITY tab", simply read the SPC, Send the SPC, put 000000 in the box & write the SPC
Next go 2 the "OTHER tab" & write the PRL
Last Go 2 the "NAM tab" read & in the SID box, just the 1st 1, type in 6425 (or the SID for your area) write to the phone & you are done.
You can also change the MDN & MIN in that tab.
You have a Cricket SNAP

Cricket WAP setting:
Now make sure ActiveSync shows the phone Connected
The attachment named Q.zip (in the next post) should be unzipped and the Q folder is to be placed in your C drive: not to any folder just C:
In the Q folder you have 3 important files rapiconfig.exe, Command Prompt and delete-n-set.xml
Right click on the file delete-n-set.xml and open with notepad and replace 5055505050@mycricket.com with your10digitphone@mycricket.com.
So 5055505050 will be replaced with your 10 digit phone number.
Click on file->save and close the notepad
Open the Command Prompt (the one inside the Q folder) and type after the “>” cd C:\Q and enter
Then the cursor will move down to the next line and you should see this C:\Q>

Type this in >rapiconfig.exe /p delete-n-set.xml (yes there is a space between exe and /p
So it should look like this C:\Q>rapiconfig.exe /p delete-n-set.xml (now hit enter)
Then you will see “Config results written to output file RapiconfigOut.xml.”
“Config succeeded.”
Set to simple ip manually and you have the internet.

MMS
Download and import ArcSoft MMS UA with CeRegEditor. The file should be imported to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software . Edit here is a cab file of ArcSoftMMS UA
Enter your10digitphonenumber@mycricket.com for all usernames and cricket for all passwords.
