I have a tilt to and had trouble syncing with my pc as well. Here is how I fixed it.

I'm assuming you're using Active Sync. First uninstall active sync and reinstall the software. Next on the tilt, goto Start, Settings, Connections Tab, USB to PC, and uncheck ''Enable faster data sychronization''

Give that a whirl and let us know how you make out.
