Music + Charging + Screen Off

So I was trying to use my imagio as a white noise machine last night... I wanted the player to play the mp3 of noise, the phone to be charging, and the screen to be off. But even with the power setting to turn screen off on external power, the screen wouldn't turn off. And if I tried to turn it off myself using the red button, it would turn the music off.

Can anyone else get the combination of music + charge + screen off working?

You need to connect headphones for the screen to turn off and not affect music play. After the screen is off, pull out the headphones and the music will come out throug the speakers and the screen will still be off.

It was a good idea, and does cause music to play after plugging in headphones, however once I unplug the headphones, the screen turns back on, and I'm back in the same situation...

When i play mp3's i use the long press end key and hit the Turn Screen Off choice, it turns the screen off and doesnt affect my music it will still keep playing. as for the white noise app idk but give it a shot
