Re: Music stops or skips when screen turns off / Turn off auto-lock?
The only way to keep the music playing when you turn off the screen is to have a headset or headphones connected. The cool thing is, is when the screen is off you can pull out the headphones or headset and the music will play through the speaker with the screen off.

Re: Music stops or skips when screen turns off / Turn off auto-lock?
I have this problem as well.
A stock Imagio by default turns the backlight off after 30seconds and turns off the device if not used for 1 minute. Is there a way to get the media applications, i.e. Media Player to be seen as an application that keeps the device in a used state? I like the phone not wasting battery life, i.e. "turn off if not used for 1 minute" but want to occasionally listen to music without having to toggle this off an on. I have XDAShutdown and even tried the "Lights Out" setting but that doesn't stop the player from turning off after the 1 minute of device not used even though it really is in use. Any ideas or can you tell me the effect on the battery by changing the turn off device if not used setting? How do you guys get this to work? |

Re: Music stops or skips when screen turns off / Turn off auto-lock?
I guess I should have checked the music part first before posting as that actually works while the screen is off and "turn off the device is not used" is enabled after 1 minute.
The issue I am running into is when using Media Player to play streaming music from the Internet. That is when the minute timeout causes the stream to drop. What is the difference between "turn off device if not used in" vs turning the screen off, i.e. lights out in respect to battery use? While "turn off device if not used" is disabled and screen is off, streaming works. Just curious if I should put the device back into "turn off device" while not streaming. |
