Re: DROID on the 6th... whos staying WinMo?

I'm gettin the Droid, but keeping the Imagio also! I have it running REALLY well right now, and it is the BEST winMo phone I've used to date! I am adding another line for the Droid though! We will see which I like best!!!!!

2nd line will get the new line price of $199. You will have to pay data on the 2nd line if both phones are PDA/Smartphones.

Re: DROID on the 6th... whos staying WinMo?

I might be missing something but I can't find a good reason to switch besides the google navigator that will probably just be ported to the Win mobile very soon. I can't see being with out the free wifi router internet sharing.

I hate technology. It's been less than 1 month and they've already got a better phone coming out. Wonder if its going to come to verizon...
Won't be out until next year and then may not come to Verizon first so may be many more months away. So you got plenty of good months before buyers remorse kicks in.

It just doesn't have the visual appeal for me. When I look at my phone I want it to look good.

Re: DROID on the 6th... whos staying WinMo?

I really question how much the Imagio, or even winmo 6.5, will be embraced. 6.5 still doesnt come close to comparing to the gui of the iphone or android, though htc does a nice job of sprucing it up... I just fear it will turn into a redheaded stepchild and forgotten about like so many winmo devices in the past. The 'marketplace' looks pretty shabby thus far.

And lets face it... android 2.0 is going to be HIGHLY embraced with tons of apps, customizations, etc. Working with winmo has always been and still is more or less a hack job.

Re: DROID on the 6th... whos staying WinMo?

not trying to hijack the thread here but is no one considering the eris? i love HTC and i can't stand the look of the moto droid.

honestly, the imagio is a great device and i think i'm going to stick with it. there probably won't be an android 2.0 update for the eris until next year some time and by then the hardware will be seriously dated.

Fortunately WinMo and support will never go away unless WinMo 7 is a total flop. Android could triple its market share in the next 6 months and it still would be behind WinMo (using Q2 numbers). Way too early to start thinking about panicking.
