Re: Location of the Turn Screen Off exe/lnk?

Cool, glad ya found it. Yeah I usually install psshutxp, but I've since switched to xdaShutdown on this device, or I would have had it in there as well I guess.

I've installed pshutxp but I see no indication of it anywhere. I'll have to go read a thread to see what this program is supposed to do. But it did not add in that option in the dropdown for the Media button.

It's like xdaShutdown. Adds the ability to sleep, soft reset, and shutdown the phone. However psshutxp never really did a true shutdown, it acted like the "lightsout" option on xdaShutdown. IMO xdaShutdown makes psshutxp obsolete.

I dont see it nor any new options, not even looking at the files. It isn't in \Programs or in the \Windows\Start Menu anywhere.

If I try and reinstall it does say that it is already installed though. Not that I care I guess. I'll just uninstall it. I was just curious about it so i installed it.

For me, the attached psshutxp cab file created a Display Switch icon in the \Windows\Start Menu\Programs directory.

Re: Location of the Turn Screen Off exe/lnk?

Well once I created the modified lnk file with -sleep at the end of it, kept the lnk in the same folder as XDAshutdown, then restarted my phone, XDAshutdown (1) appeared in my start menu. XDAshutdown (1) is my lnk file. After it was in my start menu I could select it as a program to replace the media button. Works perfect now. When I press the media button the phone go to right to sleep.

Perfect...
