Goodbye Imagio

Well, it finally died.

3 of the 5 hardware buttons did not work, was just limping along.

Started not connecting, kept coming up with the #777 could not connect error. Hard reset and then would not program with *228. Manually put in the connection information, but it would not hold.

Took it in to Verizon yesterday and it was pronounced DOA.

Oh well, had a pretty good run for 2 years, so I guess I can't complain too much.

So what to get? After what M$ has done by abandoning the WM platforms and shutting everything down, I was not about to be forced into an OS that did not look to be very flexable. They did not support me, so I will not support them. And eric12341 before you bash me for not supporting M$, I don't want to hear it!

So the Droid Razr was my choice. Lots to learn.

Thanks to all who supported the Imagio with ROMs, tweaks, and cabs.

I will still be lurking round to see what is going on!

Re: Goodbye Imagio

mastergadgets, I found myself in pretty much the same situation and also went with the RAZR. I had a laugh when I realized I still use my Palm T5 (always in my bag, bluetooth transfers are easy and DocsToGo still gets the basic jobs done smoothly). Purchased in early 2004.

Before long I'm going to have to convince myself I'm not an old tech hoarder! The gadgets that accumulate. . . !
