I've had activation problems late at night, when I assume Verizon must be doing maintenance or something, or when I have a poor signal. I just kept trying until it worked.

did you dial *228? Sometimes you have to call tech support and tell them you hard reset your phone. They they will reauthorize the phone

Thanks guys, I tried it again when I awoke this morning and it worked immediately. I guess that they were just doing maintenance...it was just awful timing when I was switching between the ROMs haha
