Swype Overlap in 6.5.x

Swype overlaps with the "bottom bar" on 6.5.x.

is there any fix for this? i searched xda and here, but nothing has turned up

You might try a hard reset, and install Swype as the first app on the phone. Also remember to get the WVGA version. There is a post somewhere on this forum regarding installing a text file in Windows folder to define the type phone you have. Called Modelname.txt Contains simple text string "WHIT100". Do a search on modelname.txt and you will probably find it. Good Luck

I have the WVGA Version, I've installed it as the first app, and in many other orders on freshly flash/hardresetted phones. I also tried the file you recommended when i first got 6.5.x but it did not fix the issue.

I am using Drellisdees ROM and I know that showstopper being cooked in contributes, however ive experienced the same issue on other roms.

in 6.5.x they trimmed the top bar to keep room for the growing bottom bar. Several apps are still aligning to the 6.5 layout.

Let me know which versions of Swype and drellisdee ROM. I will load it onto a spare Imagio and see if I can duplicate your probllem.

I am currently using Swype 3.9 and Drelissdee 1.5e. However this problem has existed with ALL versions of Swype and ALL 6.5.x ROMS, so you should note this is not ROM specific, nor specific to any 1 version of swype.

As far as I know, nobody has found a position fix for Swype on 6.5.x. A lot of people on a lot of forums have spent a lot of time trying, but no dice.
