What does Text Message Retry do?
Is it necessary to have on the start menu?

OK. Once in a while your text message won't go through. Then just hit the re-try button. Otherwise it's a pain to try to re-send. Although the fact is, out of thousands of text messages, I only had one fail to go through.

If you open it, all it shows is a list of failed messages waiting to be resent.

Could you grab this app and would it work on a custom rom? i tend to have a lot of messages that dont go though. also does this even work on the vzw stock rom?

It's part of Windows Mobile. You should already have it on your TP2.
