not sure why you think this is a big deal to me. its not.
just saying that most of the issues involved with using backups aren't obvious right away. you can take that however you want.

Hello everyone. 1st post here. I've been lurking since I brouhgt my Imagio back in Dec. I remembered this site from my Dell Axim days. Does anyone know what the MR1 update of 2/10 addressed? (www.pcdphones.com/our-devices/products/56-xv6975/downloads/29) How can know if it's on my replacement? Go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Device Information. The first item there is ROM version, if it says 3.04.605.7, you have the update already.
I have doubts your replacement will come with it installed. Go to the phone and type in ##778 and hit Talk. What is the manufacture date?

Thanks so much for the info Robin24k. Yep you're right, my ROM is 1.08.605.11 w/ a mfg date of 29NOV09. I'll take a look @ MR1 thread again & see what this improves. Thanks again.
