Re: Going the way of the droid

you should be able to once the programs support your device.. the moto droid has it and you can do data through usb tether( with PDAnet), or if you root the device, you can get wifi tether.

I don't think the snapdragon processor will make my calls any clearer or my data sharing any better so I dont need to jump on the bandwagon to have the "coolest" phone. Heck the only reason i got the imagio was because the screen on my omnia kept warping the digitizer. The omnia did have a flash and i do sincerely miss that. Not for pictures, but because it was useful as a flashlight in any sort of emergency.

I've been tracking the status of the Incredible since the first rumors surfaced a few months back. Personally, I LOVE my Imagio despite 3 replacements in 5 mths due to stuck buttons. That being said...GAWD, how could I pass on that kind of horsepower. Also, some android phones can be overclocked; hopefully, this one will too.

Anyway, if you've kept your phone in like-new condition, as I have, you could easily expect to sell it via ebay or craig's list for about $400. That's what I plan to do. This way, you'll end up spending just as much as you would for a regular upgrade.

Don't loose hope. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Re: Going the way of the droid

Big issue with the Incredible == Not a World Phone.
Will wait for an Android that can handle both networks.

Re: Going the way of the droid

Mine is in the FedEx truck for delivery today! A week early! I made my order over the phone at 3:00 AM Eastern time on the 19th and they gave me the immediate $100 off instead of the mail back card, and they just added it to my bill! I'll check it out and if it isn't rock solid better than the imagio I'll shoot it back . If I keep it I can sell my Imagio no problem.

Re: Going the way of the droid

Just pre ordered the Incredible just a couple minutes ago. I was going to wait and give WM7 a chance since the Imagio just got unlocked and custom ROMs. But, I couldn't control myself.

I don't know if having a friend who works at a VZW is such a good idea since I get an upgrade every 10 months & I seem to be using them. I am actually using them sooner because now I am using other people's upgrades because they don't want new phones. HA! Not good.

Re: Going the way of the droid

Yea, you know, I have been flashing roms on my buddy's hd2 now for 3 weeks and the smoothness in scrolling and just overall performance is absolutely astonishing and I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of waiting for my imagio to show me what I want to see, I have been dealing with lag since my apache and I'm done with it. Snapdragon is the answer. it is where its at. If there were a cdma hd2 I would be jumping on that, but the incredible is just to incredible to pass up, plus my rooted droid is fun and the apps are starting to pile up. More importantly the video out is huge for me to hook to my entertainment system in my nissan titan so goodbye Imagio people and good luck. Windows Mobile, I will see you in Q4.

Re: Going the way of the droid

Yeah , know what you mean. Tried all the new roms and you still get lags and resets. I ordered mine today and I guess I will finally have a fast phone with plenty of memory that doesn't leak. I hope WINMO can catch up , but it will be a while.

Re: Going the way of the droid

Wow, you guys... this thing is FAST...

But I have to admin that as I was cleaning up my Imagio and reflashing it I got a little bummed out... I really do love that phone. I especially like the feel of it in my hand, as opposed to the Incredible which is a little lite for me. But then I start sweeping between screens and now the Imagio, which once seemed so fast, seems slow... Kinda like when I firest heard Punk Rock, I thought Rock and Roll was fast and then.... KAZOW!
