Courses weren't available in my area and I want shot distances also. I can't remember the other issues. It may work fine but I have been impatient about my phone lately and haven't felt like tinkering so much and it just seemed like a lot of effort for that program.

You can create maps for any course and it takes about 10 minutes. The program gives distance to front, center, and back of green.

I did create a map for a course but it still had problems. I remember now, last year setting it up, making the map for the course and trying to get it working on the course and it just wouldn't go. I might have tried again this year but I like the look of golf logix and will spring the 40 bux for it as long as it works well. Plus golf logix has all my courses online

Okay, so I golfed this last Friday and the Golf logix worked fairly awesome. I wish I played as well as the program worked. It functioned very smoothly, measuring shots was a breeze and appeared to be spot on yardage wise. It is an easy to use program. You can pre load your personal clubs set up and it keeps track of your stats nicely..whether you like them or not.

I had no complaints and it was pleasing to look at.

It was the trial but I will be buying it soon. I suppose you could flash your phone and see if you can try the trial again but that would be a lot of extra work :P

I always have had solid battery life, however since the new ROM install it seems to draw down faster. I charged the battery to full and when I left it was about 65-70%. I played 16 holes walking. I had to lock the phone while hitting or the thing would shut off or other programs would launch. Locking the phone did not stop the gps function so when it was unlocked it was working normally and still connected to the satellites.

I was happy about the program not shutting down during screen lock.
