VZW may eventually release Sense 2.5 for Imagio

Take a look at this article. Touch Pro 2 is getting WM 6.5 with Sense 2.5. What are the chances Imagio will eventualyl get 2.5 officially? I think pretty good.

While it's cool to think that HTC cares enough about devices they've already sold to do this for us, I also feel bad for folks like jmart518 that have spent so much of their personal time and energy making it happen off-channel. Mixed bag.

Don't feel too bad for us, or at least me. For me, this was my first WinMo based device, and it was a great learning opportunity, and the fact that I got to help people get some Sense 2.5 features working with our Imagios is just icing on the cake. I can't speak for jmart or maxtcee or the others, but it sure was fun to do.

official updates are always welcome, even if the HSPL is out before or after that.. For one, some people will not risk doin the unlock, while many others do not even know this site exists.. they will get a taste of a newer and better UI. Secondly, sometimes there are little tweaks that they introduce to the update that are specific to our phone/hardware. once those are available they can then be taken out and put into cooked roms for all to enjoy.

No worries buddy, it has been a blast learning the ins and outs Sense 2.5! This is good news though, because once this leaks out, the Sense will be designed for less powerful phones. This means it will run much smoother and faster on our devices and we will be able to cook it in.

I have a good friend at VZW and said it was being tested for TP2 only and no plans to update Imagio with it at this time.
