Re: games for the imagio
Check out Need for Speed Undercover. I was very surprised that its such a full-featured game. It also takes advantage of the g-sensor on the imagio and steers incredibly well through the accelerometer. The graphics are surprisingly good too.
I generally don't find myself playing games like that on my cell phone, but this one got me hooked! I found a 'free' version, however due to ppcgeeks rules I will not post link. try a Google search for it. Another good game is Xtract. This is a freeware game and is available at freewarepocketpc.com Here's a write-up for it: http://www.brighthub.com/mobile/wind...ews/34729.aspx Although, this game doesn't take advantage of the g-sensor, its pretty fun. Re: games for the imagio
Wedgemoose, try going into the settings of the game, the feature might be turned off. Asphalt 4 is that way by default but once you turn the feature on; tilting the phone forwards accelorates, tilting it back applies the brakes and side to side steers!

Now that you bought Need for Speed to get the g-sensor working: option -> turn accelerometer on. Then when your in the game hit the button on the top right, it will get rid of the little arrows on the screen for steering. Next, get bsb tweaks here http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...bsb-twaks.html Once installed, menu -> rotation. then options -> add application. Then click ok and open up need for speed and shake the phone. Once added to bsb, soft reset. That will make need for speed rotate and steer via g-sensor. Hope that helps. I know how lame it was before rotation and figuring out the g-sensor works on it. Last edited by fortycal; 03-07-2010 at 02:17 PM. |

Re: games for the imagio
Some of the games I've enjoyed:
-Doom 2 RPG- Not my favorite as you move just as you did in the original version; One "space" per direction at a time. Nevertheless, the graphics/gameplay will be familiar. -Prince of Persia- Yes, I know it's been mentioned, but its a great game. Mostly 2D with some 3D scrolling. While it has a number of different moves, there are only basic controls, and the difficulty comes in hitting the right button at the right time, rather than aiming for a target to jump on. In other words, while it is difficult to do, once you come to know what to expect, the game does get pretty easy. -Assassin's Creed- FULL 3D meaning you can move in six directions, as well as true 3D graphics which are fairly decent. Also, this game is rather challenging and fun. When my buddy whips out some game on his droid, this is the one I show off...and usually win with. -Machines at war- AWESOME command/conquer-type game with adaptive difficulty, phenomenal graphics, and hours of game play...be warned...change the difficulty to easy rather than adaptive until you learn to play or it'll be a quick game. Also, feel free to max out the graphics settings! This one is also a show-off game! Flight Commander- Simple, but fast paced game with outstanding 2D graphics. The WVGA version is incredibly difficult to find, and I'm not sure it's available through a legitimate ave. If you decide to purchase it, and there isn't a WVGA version avail, send me a PM w. a proof of purchase and I will e-mail you the WVGA version (if that's kosher folks). |

Re: games for the imagio
Anyone found a good Breakout-style game? Sadly, my old Razr had better brick breaker games than my Imagio does.
I've tried Touch Break and a couple of others, but I haven't seen anything with a variety of levels, blocks and other features like I used to have. |
