Re: Imagio on multiple networks?
It will work on Verizon as well as any GSM network once it's SIM unlocked, however you can only be on one radio at any given time afaik. I can confirm that my SIM unlocked imagio works on tmobile

Re: Imagio on multiple networks?
Call Verizon up, and say you're going out of country for any reason, and say you want your SIM unlocked to use local cell service. Assuming you've been a customer with them for at least a few months, they should unlock it no problem.
However, if you're not a Verizon customer, you'll either have to get a friend with Verizon to unlock it for you, or pay for an unlock code from one of those sites. |

Re: Imagio on multiple networks?
Just in case you cant get verizon to unlock or dont care to use them for free..I used cellunlock.net, after someone at xda recommended them. Pick any htc and put in your imei number, Put in the notes its for the verizon imagio. I used a ATT sim and works great! Enjoy the phone, I love mine!

Re: Imagio on multiple networks?
I used blowfish06 on Ebay. There are a lot of the small cellphone stores on Ebay who have access to unlocking phones. He unlocked both my Imagio and Touch Pro. The Imagio was only $11 compared to $20 to $24 of the other web sites. Just be sure to check ratings on Ebay and read auction descriptions carefully.

Re: Imagio on multiple networks?
I don't get it; if I buy an unlocked Imagio [or any unlocked phone for that matter] why do I need to have anyone unlock anything?

Re: Imagio on multiple networks?
I get it; per this review [http://www.mobiletechreview.com/phones/HTC-Imagio.htm],
"The Imagio is a dual band digital CDMA phone with EV-DO Rev. A 3G for fast data and fallback to 1xRTT. It's also a quad band GSM world phone with 3G HSDPA for Europe and Asia, but the phone is SIM locked to Verizon (their SIM is included). That means you won't be able to use it on AT&T and T-Mobile in the US unless you get it unlocked. " Now I need to decide whether to give up the multi-network build for the faster processor, larger screen & 'Sense' of the HTC-HD2? Is the out of contract price difference worth it ? |
