Random System Freeze

I've just upgraded to the newest official ROM from Verizon's site (which redirects to PCDphones), and, for the most part, it fixes everything for which I had complaints. However, sometimes when the screen rotates (on a pocket outlook related screen, for example) the whole system freezes. It never freezes on opera, but only on a screen where you compose a text or e-mail. I can't even hold the power button to turn it off. I have to flip open the back cover and reset it that way.

What's causing this? I have hardly any tweaks installed since I no longer need them on this ROM.

Google Voice Easy SMS (has frozen with this as well)
