As much as I love my Imagio, I love my Zune HD 10x more. The switch is not even a question.

...this video is over 22 minutes long and he specifically demos 7's multitasking capabilities. Not that i am a total Windows fan. I have used "The Phone that shall not be named", and it is 20x faster than my Imagio (my opinion).

Re: So long to enthusiasts... welcome Windows 7 Phone Series

Multitasking on a phone is overrated anyway. I don't make much use of it on my Imagio and my girlfriend doesn't miss it on her iPhone.

WinPho7 (someone on Gizmodo called it MoFo7) looks awesome. But I might have already switched to Android by the time it rolls around.

We, as geeks sometimes get caught up in being a geek and lose sight of the forest in the trees.

I'm really interested in hearing - from someone with an actual clue using the phone PRODUCTIVELY - what "multitasking" is required beyond what you saw in yesterday's intro.

And WTF they expect in battery life.

Do geeks expect to encode and rip media on their smartphone, play 800x480 3D video games and write an email at the same time?

I'm more even more interested in people explaining why they think WM6.5 "multitasks" when in fact almost EVERYTHING PAUSES when in taskbar. Opera Mobile pauses tabs not in the foreground ROTFLMAO.

I think a prime example, being an iPod Touch owner is trying to use something like Pandora while checking e-mail or browsing the internet. That for me was a HUGE pain in the ass. Other than that, sure, I can see your point.

Re: So long to enthusiasts... welcome Windows 7 Phone Series

absolutely

however they showed yesterday streaming audio from the hub and spefically mentioned many times Pandora and even had a recently played FM radio station.

i think a lot of "no multitasking" bitching (from people with actual interest not just a troll) is somewhat based on iPhone's obviously closed system which discourages things like pandora to sell apps on iTunes.

Does anyone think Slingbox wont have an app for WP7 that plays non-stop? (btw android doesn't have a slinbox app). At some point people need to turn on their brains and turn off the hate.

Anyone watching the demos saw multiple notifications & updates happening right on front page! Yet bloggers with LIMITED INFO and ourselves bitch and moan.

It's absurd.

agreed, it seems from the limited info available (until MIX10) that wp7 will be very much what it always has been, just with a complete revamp of the UI, that also looks very customizable.

all I really want to know is if Mortscript will still run on it.

Re: So long to enthusiasts... welcome Windows 7 Phone Series

Keep in mind this is a SERIES. I expect that this version is the "mainstream" version and that another "more business" oriented version will present itself based off the same platform. It was mentioned in fact in one of the video demos by the dev.
