Re: Improved battery life
What exactly is this tweak doing? I found to save battery, you can go into your phone settings and change the network type to CDMA only. This saves battery because when the phone is in it's default global mode, it searches for GSM networks that you can connect to but it will always find none in the US. (Assuming your using this phone on Verizon!) If you change the network type to CDMA only, it will never search for a GSM network, saving you battery.

Re: Improved battery life
Good question, according to what i have read it reduces the frequency that the cpu checks in with the battery and therfore consuming less power. Sounds weak but it works. so by changing it from 5000 to 20000 it checks the battery 4 times less

The one tweak that seemed to improve my battery life the most was flashing to the latest ROM (3.04). Do a search in this forum and you will find the links to download the proper files. My battery life is like three times better than it was. Good luck!

Go to 'Settings/ All Settings/ System/ Device Information'. The ROM version will be listed there. If the ROM is version '1.xx' (i cant remember the exact number) you should flash it to 3.04. The instructions are in the ROM upgrades section of this forum. When you flash the ROM a new battery driver is installed that improves the battery life significantly. Good luck! |
