Re: Radar weather V1.0

I tried it. It's decent. Not full screen though. I prefer the HTC Weather.

Re: Radar weather V1.0

I have this installed and it works well. WeatherPanel is hands down (IMHO) the best weather program out there and this program allows you to run it as a panel in TF3D. If you plan on using it download the following file in order for the images to display properly on our device:

Re: Radar weather V1.0

couple of things

do i have to do any of this-

Go into the MTP settings and change your "portrait mode" height to 612, then unzip the two attached files into the "\Program Files\Marsware\WeatherPanel\Themes\PhatPhingerW(aj k)VGA" directory or where ever you installed it, make sure and do a backup of the originals just in case. Refresh the screen and it should fix the scroll bar and background problems.

Or do i just install this-PhatPhix.zip (what part of this)

Also is there one cab to install the Radar weather V1.0 --the directions on the link are to complicated for this cat!

What is MTP?

Thanks.

Re: Radar weather V1.0

Notice about RadarWeather...
I had this installed a couple days ago actually, and started writing up a whole post (got most of the way finished too) when I realized that there's a memory leak in the program. I would start at 63% and be at 90% in a matter of hours. If it wasn't for the leak, its hands-down the best wxr program out there.

Also, be very careful to read the instructions before installing it. It can be quite tricky, and if you don't, you'll find yourself doing things 10000 times before you get the results you desire.

1. Follow the install steps as written on the first page of the XDA thread. You'll need to extract the pack1 and pack2 zip files using WinZip or similar program (I always unzip files to my desktop computer).

2. Place the 5 cab files onto your phone (I usually place cab files under My Documents). Install the cab files to device memory in the numbered ordered (i.e. 01_mtp.cab first etc...). Soft reset after the 2nd cab. The 03_mtp2.cab will probably not install correctly or you will get an error message, this is OK, just ignore it. Soft reset after the 5th cab is installed.

3. Unzip the PhatPhix file to your desktop. Transfer these files to your phone into the "\Program Files\Marsware\WeatherPanel\Themes\PhatPhingerW(aj k)VGA" directory.

4. Open up 'All Applications' and select 'MTPConfiguration'. You will see a page with 2 tabs (at the bottom) - Main and Items. On the 'Main' screen make sure the the 'Target Page' is set to 'today'. Select 'Use the same as Main page' and select 'Override tab height' and make 'portrait mode' 612. Now select the Items tab, you should see a list of today plugins on the left, select WeatherPanel. Now click on the 'Apply' button.

5. Open up 'All Applications' and select MTPLoader, this loads the WeatherPanel plugin into the 'Windows' tab in TF3D. Now in TF3D you will see an extra tab (it defaults to the last tab position). The tab icon will look like the windows logo. This tab now displays the WeatherPanel today plugin. If you want to know how to set up WeatherPanel, well that's a different post.

Oh, BTW, I've never run into the memory drain issue with this plugin, or at least to a level that it affected my use of the phone.
