i also noticed in this step "4. Enable .net 3.5 by changing HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework
"2.0.2045.00"=1, change to 0
"3.5.7283.00"=0, change to 1"
my phone says " 2.0.7045.00"...is that something to look into?

My appologies, that was a typo. It should read:
"2.0.7045.00"=1, change to 0
